Abigail is a smart girl who responds well to commands! She's a Doberman Pinscher mix, and about 5 years old. She's housetrained and walks well on her leash. She needs a friend right now because she's heartworm-positive, so she's looking for a quiet foster home for a few weeks while she recovers from heartworm treatment. We will provide you with everything you need to care for her during the treatment, including food and bowls. You provide the love! Dogs' recovery is much easier on them in a quiet home environment rather than the stress of a shelter with lots of other dogs barking. Heartworm disease isn't contagious between animals. Once the treatment is over, the heartworms will be completely gone and Abigail will be ready to find her forever home. What a great thing you'll be doing for a very deserving dog.
